IPS – Indian Police Service (IPS):
According to our Indian country, people are giving high respects and regards with the Indian Police Service Examination and this is deeply concerned in terms of maintaining rules and regulations inside our country. IPS is considered as the major civil service in our country. The major responsibility of an IPS would be needed to work for the people and serve for people on behalf of state and central government. Lots of responsibilities are there to an IPS officer and they should respect all such responsibilities and duties together. Before any candidate will commence their work, they must undertake possible experience. After getting selected in this examination, a candidate will be admitted in a post called Assistant Superintendent of Police, and then later he or she will be retired from the post of the Director General of Police. The major duty of any IPS officer would be to serve people and they must be concerned towards public security and safety also. For different levels of responsibilities, candidates must need to work for. They have to work in different levels such as district, state and central levels.
Major duties of IPS 2018:
Since an IPS Officer is a public servant and they have to work only for public safety and security. Most of the Crime prevention and detection activities must be handled by an IPS officer. Sometimes they have to do traffic control and accident prevention and management.
There are 4 departments and an IPS officer have to work in four departments such as Crime Branch, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Home Guards and Traffic Bureau
Major duties of IPS officer to the Central Government:
Research, Central Reserve Police Force, Central Bureau of Investigation, Border Security Force, Intelligence Bureau and Research Analysis Wing (RAW) are several major duties of an IPS officer to the central government.
Eligibility Criteria followed to become IPS 2018:
In order to become an IPS officer, candidates have to undertake two major levels. Firstly anyone has to attend IPS Examination with pass marks only then they will be considered as selected to become an IPS. With pass marks, they are able to enter into the next level. In all physical eligibility tests, candidates are needed to secure good marks which are also compulsory. Candidates must complete their physical tests before the direct interview is conducted. No special degree or educational qualification is required to become an IPS officer. Civil Service Examination is conducted as major examination to all aspiring candidates.
